The Ezekiel Code – A message from the author

Monday, November 1st, 2010

It’s all here in one puzzling page-turner of a novel: conspiracy, codes, secret societies, ancient mysteries, the prophetic Mayan calendar end-date of 2012, alternative interpretations of Biblical events, mystifying metaphysics, good guys, bad guys, murder most foul and, yes, even a touch of romance. All of this, and more, is intricately woven into the multifaceted storyline of THE EZEKIEL . Gary Val Tenuta – former contributing writer for Fate Magazine (US) and Beyond Magazine (UK) and a guest on numerous radio programs (including Dreamland, hosted by best selling author Whitley Strieber and The X-Zone hosted by Rob McConnell) – has crafted an exciting mystery novel with an esoteric edge that may upset certain segments of the population while at the same time enthralling others with it’s alternative perspective on reality and its vision for the future. From its cliff-hanger prologue to its dramatic climax, THE EZEKIEL is a skillful blend of fact and fiction with likable, vividly developed characters: Zeke Banyon is a handsome Catholic seminary dropout who now runs a homeless shelter in Seattle’s old waterfront district and Angela Ann Martin is an attractive young widow who just wants a simple part-time job at the shelter. But a single twist of fate turns their simple lives upside down when together they stumble onto a mysterious and a rumor about a lost scroll penned by the prophet, Ezekiel, thousands of years ago. They soon find themselves thrust deep into

If you go to the download page, and instead of following the normal procedure, click on the “if your download doesn’t start automatically click here” link (which points to ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.0/enu/AdbeRdr90_en_US.exe) that will download the full installer package, rather than using the download manager. Save the file to your desktop, and run it from there. I was having the smae problem, adn it worked for me.

(Kindle eBook Trailer) Bushwhack – www.amazon.com – a serial story of off trail hiking in the pacific northwest (Paperback Book) Bushwhack – www.amazon.com Bushwhack – the eBook Trailer Human nature, in its most raw and desperate form, is to survive; at any cost. What we did to ourselves, and to each other, in order to stay alive out in the dark and cold depths of the forest shocked and shamed us to our very cores. The out-of-control events changed us. Forever. For now we know how high the cost of surviving can be, and that we were willing to pay the price; even if it meant someone else did not survive as a consequence. Three women, six men, and one dog, set out on a good-intentioned, multi-day, off-trail hiking adventure. Laughing, joking, even flirting with each other, it all starts out so well. Until… well, you’ll have to read it to find out. To experience this book as intended, as a serial story, please read only one chapter per day, if you can resist the temptation. Question by GypsyMaiden: Beowulf – message for modern readers? is modern life similar to their life?
I don’t think this question would be so hard if we got to read the whole poem. Instead, we just read excerpts from print-outs, and I think we missed a lot of important and connecting details. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Do you think there is an important message for modern readers in Beowulf? Why or why not? Do you think there are places in the world today where life is similar to that of Hrothgar’s tribe?

Best answer:

Answer by Fred Jones
Not that I have read the whole poem and/or give you the best possible answer to your question, but since you said you might be able to make more sense if you had the whole poem with you to read, I can tell you where to get the whole poem from so that you can read it if you want. The good news is that it is free of cost!

Go here to read Beowulf:

Q&A: 4) What does the cultivation of Candide’s garden symbolize? What message is Voltaire sending to the reader?

Question by bravofolch: 4) What does the cultivation of Candide’s garden symbolize? What message is Voltaire sending to the reader?
Voltiare Candide:)

Best answer:

Answer by Lauren
Money, leisure, security, peace, and life with his beloved do not make Candide happy. Martin declares that humans are bound to live “either in convulsions of misery or in the lethargy of boredom.” The way out of this dilemma, it seems, lies in the lifestyle of the farmer and in Candide’s garden. Candide manages to find a tolerable existence through self-directed improvement and work. Practical action is the only solution Voltaire can find to the problem of human suffering. Each member of the household finds a skill to hone and then uses it to contribute to the support of the household. Without any leisure from their toil in the garden, the characters have no time or energy to trade empty philosophical words about good and evil. Candide’s new solution seems to alleviate some of their suffering. Pangloss points out that the garden in which everyone finds solace is reminiscent of the biblical Garden of Eden, but there are crucial differences. The characters of Candide are ending their adventures in a garden, not beginning them there as Adam and Eve did; and instead of enjoying the free bounty of nature as Adam and Eve did, they must work tirelessly in order to reap any benefits from their garden.
